Growing up, she taught me the value of cooking with love and integrity—never cutting corners and always using the best ingredients. Her meals brought comfort, joy, and togetherness to our family and friends, and it’s an honor to carry on her legacy.
At Vera Mae’s Barbecue, we stay true to her standards. Every dish is made with care, quality, and soul—just the way she would’ve done it. My mission is to share a little piece of my mom in every meal we serve. May her spirit live on through every bite.

My partner has been a chef for many years, working for some high profile restaurants and he wanted to do something for himself. I have always been a "Foodie", I love delicious food, but not just delicious food, delicious new foods. There's nothing better than eating something, I have never tried before and being surprised by how good it tastes, there's an experience there. We like to create and to be different than other culinary experiences you have had with just a twist here and a tweek there, we turn soups into tacos, sandwiches into egg rolls, smoked salmon BLT'S and much more. Our imaginations are the limits.
