Every great meal starts with a story and ours began with a dream, determination, and a whole lot of love for good food. What started as a small idea selling home-cooked dishes right from my kitchen grew into something much bigger. I worked hard, juggling two corporate jobs, saving every dollar I could until I could buy my first food truck. That’s how Mobile Yum Yum was born from humble beginnings and a deep passion to share flavorful, comforting food with my community.

From day one, my mission has been simple: to feed people from the heart. Every dish from our famous Yum Yum Rolls to our Jerk Chicken Tacos, Caribbean Nachos, and Vegan Bowls is made with soul, inspired by my roots and a love for bringing people together through flavor.

As our business grew, we decided every great meal deserved a sweet ending and that’s when SweetTooth Ice Cream & Funnel Cake Truck rolled out! Now we’re proud to bring both savory and sweet joy to events all over Richmond, VA and beyond.

Whether we’re catering a wedding, feeding families at a festival, or serving ice cream smiles to kids at a school event, our goal remains the same to create experiences that taste like happiness and memories that last long after the last bite.

Sweet Delights Ice Cream Truck was born out of a passion for bringing joy to our community, one scoop at a time! As a lifelong resident of Alexandria, I wanted to create a business that would put smiles on faces and become a beloved part of our city's fabric. After years of perfecting my ice cream recipes and scouting out the best spots to serve, I finally hit the road in my colorful truck, ready to share the sweetness with everyone!

From kids' birthday parties to outdoor festivals, I love seeing people of all ages light up when they try our unique flavors and experience the nostalgia of a classic ice cream truck. Our mission is simple: to spread happiness and make every day a little sweeter. Come visit us and taste the joy for yourself.

About Us:
I am Laura Daab, the Chef/Owner of Bikini Panini food truck and have been an avid cook most of my life. My favorite memories come from the yellow kitchen in my childhood home where my mom cooked and baked constantly. Learning from her and inspired by my favorite cuisine, I focus on Coastal Mediterranean cooking that incorporates lots of fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.

Starting Bikini Panini was an unplanned opportunity and reinvention for me. My degree is in Marketing Communications and I was a theatrical producer for 20 years with a company I owned with my husband, Jim. We were hit hard by the Great Recession and shut our doors 5 years ago. I struggled to find a full-time, corporate job so I freelanced as a house painter, Marketing/PR Manager for a local theatre company, and worked on a frozen yogurt truck for a while.

One day, Jim drove by an auto auction near our house in Church Hill and saw a food truck being cleaned-up for sale. We bid on the truck and won! It’s a cute little step van that was repossessed from a Panini business in DC. “Why reinvent the wheel?’ I thought, so I spent the next 3 months fixing up the truck and developing my menu that along with 5 different Panini sandwiches includes Paella, Ratatouille with Curried Couscous and assorted baked good, ice cream and Italian Ices. I recently added a Kid’s menu that includes a Grilled Cheese Panini and a Breakfast menu with a Spanish Torta, Breakfast Panini and other goodies!

I’ve been in business since January of 2017 and have done very well. It’s challenging, rewarding, tiring, gratifying, and glorious! I belong to the Richmond Food Truck Association and I work pretty much all over the Metro Richmond Area. I’ve been a featured chef several times on WTRV’s “Virginia this Morning” demonstrating cooking segments of my food on Bikini Panini. Bikini Panini was also voted Best Food Truck in Virginia and featured in an article titled, “Top 50 Best Food Trucks in the US” by Eat This, Not That food magazine. You can find Bikini Panini at breweries and wineries, corporate lunches, street festivals, block parties, fundraisers, private events, weddings…pretty much any kind of an event that needs mobile food.

I’m working at what I love and have learned there is always time for another adventure and a challenge to reinvent oneself! Cheers!

Some would call us a fast casual restaurant, 'the fancy hot dog place".Unexpected lobster roll spot, family friendly or neighborhood spot - we identify as all but first and foremost we are family and extend that warmth to every guests. Our concept blossomed at the suggestion of our founder, Pamela Swanson's father during the 2008 recession. "Keep it simple, everyone loves a hot dog - take it up the culinary totem pole." this is
the message that still guides us today and pushes us forward. The American classic frank was deconstructed and redesigned to not strip it of it's essence but thoughtfully embrace it. Partnering with local gourmet bakeries, butchers, farmers
and purveyors has allowed us to re-invent the preconceived notion that a hot dog is only appropriate for ballparks and children's birthday parties - but let's not dismiss those golden memories either. "We believe in the power of food that is
locally grown and crafted with true love and extreme care" We griddled our first gourmet hot dog in May of 2009 in Purcellville,VA, expanding into an additional brick & mortar in Old town Alexandria in 2012. We partnered with the Washington National's to open our first concession in National's Park in 2015, expanding into a secondary location in the
park in 2020 and a 3rd in 2022. HD&F plans to open additional concessions and locations throughout the DMV.
